Washington City – Sullivan Park

DESTINATIONS

Virgin River Trail End

Bike
It’s a lovely, but short, ride north from the park to the end of the trail. The scenery along the Virgin River is some of the best in Southern Utah, so feel free to turn off and explore connecting trails. Let’s hope they extend this trail soon!

Cottonwood Wash Trail

Bike
The Cottonwood Wash Trail takes you on a scenic ride through a rocky canyon. It’s generally quiet and lightly trafficked, though it is mostly uphill. Make a few stops along the way and keep an eye out for wildlife. At certain times of the year, you may spot an owl or two nesting in the rocks!

Scenic St. George Mayor’s Loop

Bike & Hike
The Mayor’s Loop in St George is a scenic bike route along the Virgin River. Starting about 4.5 miles south of Sullivan Virgin River Soccer Park, the loop itself is about 5 miles of easy, paved paths offering great views of the city toward the south end.

St. George Waterfall & Virgin River Skimboard Park

Activity
It gets hot in Southern Utah, and on some days the only fix is a quick stop by the St George Waterfall and Virgin River Skimboard Park. Pull off the trail, lock your bikes, and take a dip!
If you do decide to stop by to play in the water, just make sure you keep the bike dry!
