Ledges of St George

DESTINATIONS

Snow Canyon Loop

Bike
The Snow Canyon Loop takes rider along its paved double-track path through Snow Canyon State Park through the north entrance, down to the outskirts of St. George, and back up the hill on the scenic trail along the east rim of the canyon. The ride back uphill gets steep in a few places, so riders will want to budget their battery life and pay attention to shifting gears.

Snow Canyon Scenic Overlook

Bike
The Snow Canyon Scenic Overlook is a must-see destination on the way to Snow Canyon State Park. From the paved trail, riders can take a short dirt road out to the overlook. So stop by, take in the view, take a few photos, and get back to riding!

Hidden Pinyon Trail

Bike & Hike
The Hidden Pinyon Trail is a short, but moderately difficult hike inside Snow Canyon that leads to the Hidden Pinyon Overlook. The hike itself is not long, but the terrain can be uneven, switching between rocky and sandy ground as you progress.

Petrified Dunes

Bike & Hike
Inside Snow Canyon State Park is a fun and moderately difficult hike that leads to the petrified sand dunes that were formed almost 200 million years ago. The trail terrain is combination rocky and sandy and is relatively short. We recommend checking this trail out in the morning or evening, as there is very little shade available and can get very hot.

Lava Flow Trail

Bike & Hike
The Lava Flow trail in Snow Canyon is one for the adventurous at heart. The trail itself is flat but rocky in parts, leading past three lava tube remnants that are open for exploration. It’s very open and scenic, with several good viewpoints, but there is very little shade besides inside the lava tubes.
